Lake Cuyamaca Restaurant

I had an absolutely amazing time here at the cabin! It was beautiful inside, comfortable beds, very nice sheets and blankets. The decor was cute. I loved everything about my birthday weekend getaway! With the Lakeview cabin, we got a free boat rental for both days! Unfortunately the first day was very foggy and cold, so we didn't utilize the boat, but the second day was absolutely gorgeous out! So it was perfect. Everyone who works here was wonderful! Very knowledgeable and friendly. Very well staffed and I will definitely be coming back! One of my best birthday celebrations yet!! ♥

Holy moly best apple pie EVER! I'd had it on multiple occasions so knew what I was getting. On this trip I tried the pot pie as well. Drooling good! I ate it twice over the weekend and bought a full sized one to take home! On the flip side when we ate in we sat on the patio in the freezing cold because there was someone inside singing. It was way too loud for such a small space. We regretted not just getting our food to go. Still 5 stars for excellent food!

Great food, the service can be spotty but the food is worth the wait!

Awesome mom and pop restaurant. ($$) Homemade pies including chicken pot pie by scratch. Friendly folks, awesome lake view in the mountains and outstanding food with variety of drinks. Our new favorite restaurant. When not in winter snow season you get very personal service. When in snow season be kind and patient. WELL WORTH THE WAIT.

Incredible Roast Beef sandwich. Of course there is the amazing view of the lake.

A great stopping point coming from the desert going to Julian! They had racks of homemade pecan pies, peach pies, lemon meringue pies and more! We grabbed a pecan pie to go and had it at home and it was just like Mama used to make! The people were friendly and the service and price was fantastic! I highly recommend stopping by if you're I the area! It's right on the lake as well!

The restaurant was cold. The service very slow. But the food was surprisingly good. Could easily have been 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 if warmer and quicker service

I had a bean soup.... It was the best! And a vegan Burger.. amazing flavor.. but the best?? Their french fries!The service is top class... Thank you to everyone who works there...

I loved their loaded baked potato. Their spinach artichoke dip was the best but their beef was not fresh.

This place is right on the lake and was beautiful to see the water while eating. It gets busy on the weekend, so be prepared to wait a little bit longer for your food, but it's worth it. I had tge bleu cheese bacon burger and it was delicious. Looking around at other people's plates, the sandwiches and other items looked great too. They are known for their homemade chicken pot pies and dessert pies, but I will have to try them next time.

Delicious food, homemade chicken pot pies, homemade pies, friendly owner, friendly staff, the list goes on and on. Discovered this place by accident with my family on Christmas day on our search for a snow day. Could not have been a more perfect ending to our trip. Definitely making this an annual tradition to my family’s Christmas day.

We're really glad we came across this little place. The lake is beautiful and there are lots of birds around, even white pelicans!And to top it all off the meal was great, delicious fish and chips and chicken pot pie! With an amazing view of the lake!

Best local restaurant and store. They make homemade chicken pot pies and sell them to go in the store. They also had an old time favorite: Thriftys ice cream pints! Any little sundries you forgot to pack for your weekend in the cabin, you can buy at the store: gloves, hats, kitty litter, baby lotion, etc. Its great and the clerk is so nice.

This place is the one I like best. I visit a lot of restaurants but to this one I keep coming back again and again. The stuff is very helpful and the cooking they serve is so flavorful. I never miss an opportunity to have a decent dinner in this place. I highly recommend this place.

The restaurant was closed when we were there but the lake was amazing. Beautiful, peaceful, comfortable. Enough area for everyone there to fish. The island was a beautiful walk, water is blue! There's a bridge that is picture perfect. We saw eagles, deer, and ducks/geese. Very nice. I'll be back.

It's so welcoming. The view of the lake is always beautiful. The food is awesome. Dolores is such a sweetheart with a beautiful smile and soul.

Incredible homemade chicken pot pie and apple pie. The crust and filling are just perfect, best I can remember. Amazing to find such great food, value, and a beautiful lake view in a quaint roadside restaurant. The sign outside said world famous, I had my doubts but not any longer, a must stop.

Definitely at a beautiful location! Food and services were excellent but I got shocked a little bit when I payed the bill. Four western bbq cheeseburgers and four drinks approximately $78.00? Not sure about that, but o.k. but I do have to say. Probably the best I've had in a very long time! Very meaty with thick bacon on the sandwich!

Are you looking for a good place to eat? This is the right place! good food, super delicious homemade chicken pot pie, delicious homemade apple pies, nice and clean place, staff very friendly and prices very affordable. For my experience is a nice place to hang out with the family! They also have an area for fishing.

I Love this place. I come here every few months to study, eat and even pray by the lake. Dolores is always nice to me. She is sweet and calls everyone the endearing term of "Mijo." I had an awesome breakfast today of huevos rancheros. The sauce was off the hook!!

Great place, incredible view and awesome pie!Some friends invited us to this place and is incredible! Located right in the lake Cuyamaca, still in Jukian limits, they have great apple pie, and Julian Hard Cider. The pie is awesome and yummy.The staff were the best, really friendly and kind.Surely we will come back for another piace of that pie.
